  • What is the purpose of the Chamber of Commerce?

  •       Our mission is "... to provide programs and resources to the business and professional community by working

  • How does the Chamber of Commerce bring the business community together?

    • Organizes and attends Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies to introduce new businesses into the community.
    • Holds a Business After Hours meeting each month at a local business which gives members the opportunity to directly network with other businesses in the area.
    • Organizes periodic special events such as the "Annual Chamber Golf Scramble" which highlights participants’ companies.


  • Why should I join the Chamber of Commerce?

  •       By joining the Chamber of Commerce, you will be helping the community provide more business resources and
          networking opportunities to other businesses while gaining more visibility for your company.

  • May I attend Chamber meetings before deciding to join?

  •       Non-members may attend one or two Chamber meetings before deciding to join. You must be a guest of a
          Chamber member in order to attend. Please Contact the Chamber if you are new to the area.

  • How can I join the Chamber of Commerce?

  •       Simply fill in the required Membership Form (membership subject to approval) and send your check to the
          Chamber Office by January 31st (annual and semi-annual payments) and July 1st (semi-annual payments).

  • How is my membership investment determined?

  •       The membership investment is based on a number of factors based on your company’s Business Classification
          and may include the following:

    • A one-time new membership fee
    • An annual base fee
    • The number of employees in your company
    • The number of professionals in your company

  • Can I get more involved after becoming a Chamber of Commerce member?

  •       We have various Committees that you may join. We also have an Ambassador Program. The Ambassador
          Team is a volunteer group of recognized professionals who interact with fellow Chamber members to provide
          information and answer questions about the Chamber of Commerce, its programs and services.

  • Can businesses outside of Jennings County become members of this Chamber of Commerce?

  •       Although most of our members conduct their business within the county, businesses outside the county are
          welcome to join. The only qualification required is that these businesses have an interest in the business
          environment and quality of life of those people living and/or working in Jennings County.
